[CHAT]: Self-love
Let's be real, self-love is super hard.
In a world where it's way too easy to feel like you're not good enough, getting to a place where you feel satisfied with your body or personality can often be a huge struggle. However, giving yourself care and attention is one of the best things you can possibly do for your mental health! It's been shown to alleviate stress, improve confidence and positively affect the relationships between you and those around you.
So join us on Monday, 14th August at 7:30pm AEST to talk about self-love: what it means to us, what it means to practice it and what some strategies are that we can use to feel as fabulous on the inside as we all are on the outside
Hope to see you there! 🙂
Everybody is preferring SELF LOVE rather than anything else. Everyone is working for self some are in gym for body almost everybody goes beauty saloons for good looks.
Hey, come and say hi tonight, or just have a read of the conversation if you're not feeling like clicking that reply button just yet :). We'll get started at 7:30pm (AEST)- which is just a little bit less than 5 hours from now!

Self love is so important! I'll be in and out of the conversation by it should be a good one
Looking forward to it 🙂
A personal favourite of mine is taking long baths - if I have a long day, or i'm not feeling too great, then that always helps to keep me in focus. I also love taking some time out to read, and spending time with my family and friends.
Ahh baths are so good @basketofmonkeys i am moving house soon, and the fact that the new digs has a good bath was a major part of the decision to rent it 😛

What are some strategies that you can use to make sure that you feel more self-love toward yourself?
- When I am talking negatively to myself I try ask myself how I would respond to a friend who was saying the same thing.
- Try to avoid personalising situations that are probably not personal
- Remind myself that other people struggle with it as well
- Take time for myself each day to do something that I really want to do 🙂
@Brendos94 a key strategy for any process of becoming a better person is being able to notice when you do improve or grow in a certain way. Practicing self-love is a big part of helping us do that. It's also easier to improve by working with our strengths, so what are your strengths? Practice some self love and you'll start to figure that out!

- Try to get back into a bit more physical activity
- Use self-care strats when I feel like shit
- Take time to chill out and distract myself when I need instead of continuing to focus on the feelings
5. In the spirit of self-love, list 5-10 things about yourself that you thing are awesome, or that you love about yourself
- Athleticism
- Humour
- I try to give everyone at least a bit of trust when I first meet them
- I'm stubborn
- How far I've come since a couple of years ago
What is something that you may be able to do this week to increase your level of self-care?
Somehow start meditating! 🙂
ooh @meesha we tried to all have a go at a mindfulness/meditation session at once a while ago! I know @FootyFan26 and @j95 helped out with it. Maybe we could get it going again?
